Founded in 2024, The Chef Sync is dedicated to helping the food industry embrace sustainability by reducing food waste and promoting
eco-friendly practices. We are proud to partner with Chefs Eye Tech as the licensed distribution partner of their cutting-edge food waste measurement technology, serving restaurants and food businesses across the Americas, Bermuda, and the Caribbean.

Our mission is simple: to empower the food industry with the tools and expertise to operate more efficiently, minimize waste, and make a positive impact on the planet

Expertise You Can Trust

At the heart of The Chef Sync is our founder, Desmond Townsend, a passionate advocate for sustainability with more than 40 years of

experience in both the food and sales industries. Desmond’s journey began in a vibrant West Indian community in New Cross, London, where he

developed a deep appreciation for the importance of food in culture and community. In 1984, he moved to Bermuda, where he has been

involved in the hospitality industry ever since.

Desmond’s career has seen him work in
world-class establishments such as Claridge’s and Langan’s Brasserie in London, as well as leading roles

in Bermuda’s culinary scene, including the iconic Hamilton Princess and the Southampton Fairmont hotel’s. His expertise doesn’t end in the

kitchen; he has also played significant roles in wholesale food sales, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the industry from farm to table.

A Vision for a Greener Future

Desmond founded The Chef Sync with the belief that the food industry can and should lead the charge in sustainability. His extensive

background as a chef, restaurateur, and sales expert has equipped him with the knowledge and insights to drive real change. By offering

innovative food waste solutions through the partnership with Chefs Eye Tech, we are helping businesses cut costs, improve efficiency, and

reduce their environmental footprint.
